To become a member of Charlton Toy Library, you will need to bring:
- Proof of I.D., and of benefits for concession rate
Membership
- Toy Loans from 50p to £2.50 for a two week loan period.
- Book Loans free of charge.
- Baby equipment from £1.00 t0 £5.00 for a six month loan period.
- Safety equipment from £3.00 to £5.00 for a six month loan period.
- Play sessions three times a week, including messy play.
- Story-time and music session once a week.
- Advice on the right toy choice for your child
- Advice on the correct safety equipment .
- Advice on breastfeeding from a trained counsellor
- Mobile toy loan project
- Information days
- Fun days
Costs:
- The six monthly family membership is £12.00 for new members. £3.50 for concessions for new and existing members on income support or working tax credit .
- Groups or schools membership: Please contact the Toy Library.
- Loans from 50p to £2.50 subject to availability and discretion.
- Safety equipment loans for six months from £3.00 to £5.00 subject to availability and discretion.
- Usual loan charges made for overdue items.
Loan periods:
- 2 week loan period for toys for each child under 5 in the family.
General terms and conditions:
- All equipment borrowed is to be returned clean and on time.
- Please report any broken or missing items to a member of staff upon return.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Lending toys must not be played with in the play-area.
- Play areas are open to members only – you are responsible for the children in your care and your belongings at all times.
- Please help keep the toy library clean and tidy.
- If your children have had sickness and diarrhoea within the last 24 hours please do not bring them to the Toy Library.
